Yīng Gē Clay Kettle
Simple, but elegant, unglazed kettles made from local Taiwanese clay sourced near the famous pottery town of Yīng Gē.
These kettles are suitable for a variety of heat sources, including gas, alcohol stove, charcoal fire, and electric stove. (Not suitable for an induction stove.)
Instructions for Use
1. There is no need to season your kettle. Simply rinse out the kettle with clean water before first use.
2. Always use a small fire, or medium-low setting, to heat your kettle. The heat source should not exceed the diameter of the bottom of the kettle.
3. After use, please allow your kettle to completely cool down to room temperature before emptying it of any remaining water. Please take care to avoid placing a still warm kettle on a cold surface. This may cause it to crack.
4. It is best to allow your kettle to air dry between uses. Please do not store it in direct sunlight, or overly moist environments.
